The Great North American Eclipse of April 2024

I was extremely excited to learn about a year earlier that the path of totality would cross over my home in North Texas for the eclipse that took place in April, 2024.  In the days leading up to the eclipse, I spent several days making sure I had everything I needed and practiced with my equipment.  When the day was getting close, the weather forecast was iffy as to whether or not we would get to see the eclipse.

As the eclipse started, there were clouds in the sky, but the event was mostly visible.  I was snapping photos left-and-right making sure I have everything dialed-in.  At the point of totality, I removed the filter and took a few photos at various shutter speeds.  This one is my favorite as it shows the sun starting to peak back out from behind the moon.  In my mind, the whisps of clouds add a little drama to the image.

I printed this on Photo Metallic paper at 24" x 36" and have it proudly displayed in my game room. (Note the photo in this listing is only an example and is not my game room.)
