Snake River Overlook at Grand Tetons NP

I recently spent a week in the Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming visiting the sites and hiking some trails.  This image was taken at the Snake River Overlook along the main road in the park.  At the overlook is a plaque that denotes the location Ansel Adams used for his famous image of the Snake River back in the 1940s.  Being the avid photographer I am, I decided to take a photo at the same location.  

Any attempt to duplicate his image would be futile, BTW.  I do not have the same equipment he used (i.e., 8x10 view camera).  Additionally, the trees have grown quite a bit over the last 80+ years.  More importantly, while I fancy myself an excellent photographer, I would certainly not suggest I am at the level of Ansel Adams.  His work is in a class by itself.

To get this image, I took several separate photos (6 total) and stitched them together.  Then, I used software to crop the image to something that I felt represents the scene best.  By compiling several photos into a single image, the resolution is great even at the largest sizes.  I did very little additional post processing; the colors of the scene really speak for themselves.  That said, I am offering the image in both Color and Black and White.

Note:  The display image may suggest the print is soft and low resolution.  Please be assured that the final product is a very high resolution and looks AMAZING.
